BEAUTIFUL BARN WEDDING RECEPTION

BaileyandJames_Blog_Wedding_Place Setting-5.png

Yay it's finally Thursday! That means I'm sharing the second part of this beautiful barn wedding. If you missed all the ceremony details, check out this post.

Today I'm going to take you on a little tour of the wedding reception. I have tons of pictures and it was hard to choose my favorite, so get ready for photo overload.

This venue was perfect for the rustic chic look Julie and Ryan were trying to accomplish and the venue managers were so easy and fun to work with. If you are looking for wedding venues in West Michigan, I highly recommend Witt's Inn in Lowell, Michigan.

Let's not waste any time...

I found these shutters at Goodwill way before knowing about Julie's wedding (buying random stuff is kind of my thing). As soon as we started putting together the details, I knew the shutters would be perfect for table assignments.

Memory Table

The memory table is just a piece of particle board with lace hot glued around the edge to give it a finished look placed on top of a wine barrel. This is a great way to remember those who can't be with you on your special day.

Cake Table

Julie and Ryan had a small cake made for them to cut and they ordered sheet cake that could be served to guests. This is a great way to save money.

Julie really wanted some fun chalk board signs, but my free hand chalk skills are limited. I put these signs together and still accomplished the chalk look!

Guest Seating

The place settings really came together better than I ever imagined. The table numbers are one of my favorite things (maybe because the wine corks were all wine that Julie and I had drank the year leading to the wedding....necessary duty!) Everything was simple yet stilled carried the amount of detail needed to really bring the look together.

Can we talk about those chandeliers....OMG! They really set the space off! The rustic chic look was really pulled together by these crystal beauties and the fabulous gold chairs.

Head Table

This is my favorite little area....

This little lace banner was a last minute addition and one I'm glad was made! When looking at the space behind the head table, we knew something was missing. My friend Kristi helped put this little gem together. We used a strand of white Christmas lights and three different kinds of lace. The lace varied in length, color, and texture. This little extra really brought the space together.

Well that's it! Thanks for stopping by and seeing all the details. I'm so glad the wedding was a success and the bride and groom were so appreciative. Big thank you to my friends Kristi and Dana! They bailed me out during set up on Friday when they showed up to help. If they wouldn't have saved me, I would have needed a sleeping bag to finish.

If you are a Michigan bride looking for design or planning help on your big day, please contact Bailey and James for a free consultation (email here). We would be more than happy to make your day stress free and beautiful!
