Plum & Pom Martini

Plum and Palm Martini-1_edited.png
Mondays are never a ton of fun, but yesterday I had an extreme case of the Mondays! I'm not usually much of a drinker during the week, but exceptions had to be made. I had some plum wine left over from making some Pad Thai for dinner, so I decided to put it to use! These plum and pom martinis are the perfect dessert drink after a very long day.

Plum & Pom Martini

Ingredients:

6oz Vodka

4oz Plum wine

Kikkoman’s makes a cheap plum wine (yes, like the soy sauce)

4oz Hulu POM Juice (POM Wonderful makes a pomegranate and pineapple juice, Hulu)

4oz water (water helps dilute the pom juice which is very heavy)

Lemon

1cup ice

*Makes four 4oz martinis

Instructions:

Prior to making your drink, be sure to throw some martini glasses in the freezer to chill. In a drink shaker, combine all ingredients and shake over ice until slightly frothy! Slice a section of lemon peel, cut into small strips, and twist it into a spiral. Slide the lemon peel along the rim of the martini glass for some extra citrus taste. Strain ice and pour drink into a chilled glass. These are very sweet martinis and also pack a punch. I would keep the cocktail to 4-5oz (unless you are looking for a weeknight buzz)! That's it you're done!

I hope you have a wonderful week and enjoy your cocktail!

Cheers!
